Cross Sector Research & Artistic Collaboration
Millsaps College, International Perspectives Program
The Millsaps College International Perspectives Program is a unique living/learning cohort program “designed to internationalize the Millsaps campus”. johnson facilitated a collaboration between the IPP Fellows and the Millsaps Art Department to translate climate change research into meaningful visual art works.

johnson engaged IPP Fellows initially with a seminar on artistic responses to climate change and the practice of interdisciplinary collaboration. Intermediate Art students were invited into discussion around constructive collaboration practices. IPP students were able to view artists work and then reach out with an invitation to collaborate. The final exhibition was hosted in a common area near the cafeteria during the IPP Spring Conference.
