johnson brought together the English and Art Departments across the Hinds County School District to design an arts-integrated learning exchange in which 12th-grade students studied contemporary experiments in high school pedagogy, engaged in collaborative dialog on the future of learning, wrote critical essays on the subject, and then passed their visionary ideas to their visual artist peers to plan and execute a mural.
