SUBMIND

SUBMIND is the experimental performance duo daniel johnson and Thomas Eddleman. Worn down by the perpetual stream of media messaging, johnson and Eddleman determined that one can not protect oneself from the onslaught, but rather the only way out is through. In their coverall safety suits, the duo invite their audiences to give themselves to an intense experience of media inundation in pursuit of reaching a SUBMIND state in which they can separate themselves from the cultural messaging in which they live. Ducking behind a protective shell, they proceed to create improvised swells of synthesized industrial landscapes while four channels of appropriated commercial visual media are projection mapped to the surface of their shell.
